New Sewing Room Layout

Trying to find the perfect layout for my sewing room has taken me a few months. My husband and I moved into this house in January and when I initially set everything up I made it where my "cutting table" was sticking out into the middle of the room so that I could walk around both sides for cutting. But do to the size of the room and the type of storage I was using in my room, I felt that it made the room to cramped, so I settled with put my sewing table and cutting table in an "L" shape in the corner of the room. Still not happy with the set up of my sewing room I finally realized that my problem was my storage in the room. I had way to much short storage that took up almost one whole wall of my room and with the room as small as it is I cannot afford to loose valuable space. So I went vertical.

I forgot to take a picture of my room before I started moving everything, but here is the storage that I needed a remedy for.
Who loves IKEA? I do... I do... I found every storage solution that I could think of and more...

After much diliberation, this is what I left the store with... And I have been pleased with my choice ever since. I also upgraded my sewing chair to this...

Love it!!! I can actually adjust the hight of it and it will stay!!
Once I have cleaned my sewing room I will post a picture of the new look.

  2. Hello Frankie,

Thanks for stopping by my blog. Hope you get to make a mail holder soon. You are a no-reply blogger so leaving you some love here. I think sewing rooms are so hard to get perfect. If you put to much stuff away it takes ages to find things. Good luck with stacking your shelves.
    Happy days.

  3. I am still trying to figure out this whole blogging business. I am really not very tech savvy so bare with me. I actually did not realize that people were leaving me comments until a couple of days ago.
