Finished?... Well Not Quite

I finished my quilt top and decided that I would not quilt it right now because I am way to excited to start on my new quilt.  I am not quite as happy with the finished product as I thought I would be. There are some flaws in my piecing that really bother me, however, I am still in love with the bright color choices I made.
Here is a sneak peak of a few of the 17 different colors of blue that I will be using in my new quilt.
17... How did I ever find that many blue prints to put into a quilt, you ask? Well, I have been collecting them for quite some time now. Some of the pieces date back to the mid 90's, and I finally get to use them! The pattern I am going to use for this quilt is "Blue Lagoon" from Jelly Roll Quilts by Pam and Nicky Lintott.  The first time I saw this pattern I knew I had the perfect material for this beautiful fresh looking quilt. I am absolutely in love with this book. It is full of great patterns that can be used with or without jelly rolls. I am cutting all of my 2 1/2" strips by hand, but if I were using a jelly roll I could whip this thing out in no time.
